IS  THIS  YOURS?                 This  vivid,  wing-‐bearing  vision  appeared  quietly  majestic  on   the  sixteenth  evening  of  two-‐thousand-‐and-‐fourteen.   Almost  completely  shrouded  by  the  shadows  of  the  Sydney   Street  vessel  terminal,  it  became  apparent  that  it  was  not  a   standard  bird.  (See  fig.  1)               Unlike  usual  birds,  the  Switzerlands  of  the  animal  kingdom,   this  situation  of  a  bird  was  possibly  involved  in  a  war  of   some  sort.  The  unamused  glare  upon  its  face  revealed   hardcore  thoughts  and  a  bad  attitude.     Bird  experts*  theorise  that  the  individual  in  question  might     be  an  ALBATROSS  since  it  not  only  hasn’t  been  spied  in  this                 or  any  of  the  surrounding  lands,  but  also  looks  like  an   albatross.    A  local  sociologist**,  however,  questions  the   legitimacy  of  its  albatross-‐diagnosis,  offering  in  turn  the   antithesis  that  the  accused  actually  sailed  to  New  Farm  via   boat  and  is  only  pretending  to  be  an  albatross.     Regardless  of  its  species,  it  –  like  you  and  I  –  needs  to  be   loved.     Is  this  your  albatross?  Do  you  have  any  information  on     where  its  family  is?  Can  you  be  its  one  true  love?             *  Arts  Students   **  Arts  Student
