returned to duty after a long illness. I can assure you that both Richard and Schalk are dedicated officers who will serve our community well. There are still a few points of concern: • Children are still playing in the streets without any supervision. • Children are vandalising walls and street signs. We have instructed security that should they catch an offender to hand them over to the SAPS on a charge of vandalism. • We have received complaints of stray dogs attacking and even biting joggers and pedestrians. Again, security was instructed to make contact with the SAPS, should the injured person wish to open a formal complaint. • We have debated the issue of loud music endlessly. Disturbance of peace can be any time of the day. We take this matter seriously and have instructed security to make contact with the SAPS in instances where a disturbance of the peace has been reported. • It’s now become common practice for visitors to leave beer cans or bottles on the common property after a party. We will no longer tolerate this kind of behaviour and will issue penalties to the residents concerned. Remember that you are responsible for the upkeep of your driveways.
