Christine's (mctine) Story

Dani Shay – I actually didn’t think of Justin Bieber the first time I say Dani, mostly because I don’t like his music. I just thought that this chick was awesome. Actually, I first had to make sure that she was a chick. It’s really great everything that Dani is about, and all that she supports. I may or may not have spent a day going through her Youtube channel. But that is just because is she is beyond talented and it is kind of addicting.

Lily Mae Harrington – Lily is more than just confident in herself. She knows who she is, yes, but she also has that vulnerability that is open about. Even though she is bigger, she doesn’t let that define her, and she knows that she is beautiful just the way she is.

Mario Bonds – Mario is a brave, bold, and beautiful singer (see what I did there). He hasn’t let the struggles he has faced bring him down. I am proud to say I am one of the people who have read his book (are you?). His life is so…so eventful, he doesn’t let anything get in his way, and I actually almost forgot that he was blind throughout the course of his time on the show.

Maxfield Camp – Of all the people in the competition, Maxfield had the least overall experience, but somehow wowed me with his amazing country voice. There is nothing wrong with knowing next to nothing about the world of showbiz, and Maxfield has proved that. His EP, featuring songs like Saturday Night is really impressive, which is proof that you don’t have to get far in TGP to get somewhere.

Michael Weisman – The way Nikki described Michael, as a puppy, adequately describes how I saw him at first. It was obvious that he was a guitarist (woooo!), but he could also sing. He, against all the criticism that was stacked against him, made it ten weeks before getting eliminated. He may have been the youngest, but he obviously had some level of knowledge to make it that far in the competition. He is a really great singer and person.

Nellie Veitenheimer – Nellie started TGP by talking about her sister, which I found kind of interesting. Her voice was good, different, something I hadn’t heard before. It was pretty. Yes. She, it appeared was introverted, quiet, open-minded, but at the same time, for those exact reasons, she won the hearts of fans across the globe. Nellie’s elimination was devastating for said fans, but it was unmerited. The things that made her so relatable, also gave her vulnerability in the end of group performances. She is constantly interacting with those fans, which is brilliant, though, because it gives us a chance to almost meet someone we wish we could meet.

Shanna Henderson – When Shanna came in, my first reaction was that, woah, she is amazing. And as she blew through the competition, I was sure she would win. When she didn’t, it was fair and square, but that didn’t stop Shanna from walking away fiercer and more ready to pursue whatever she could find out there. Shanna is pure ambition, and no matter what, she gets right back up, stronger than ever.
