HAVE YOU JUMPED ONTO THE ANCESTRY BAND WAGON YET?

“We inherit from our ancestors’ gifts so often taken for granted. Each of us contains within us this inheritance of soul. We are links between the ages, containing past and present expectations, sacred memories, and future promise.” ~ Edward Sellner

My mother decided back in the 1970s that we were going to find our ancestors. She had a reason for it; she always did. My mom was a dynamic woman with a larger-than-life personality and intelligence off the charts. She had a way to engage all around her. Kaaren, yes, I am spelling her name correctly, modeled herself after the stories she would hear about her grandmother, Anna Pearl Marvin Mitchell.

Anna Pearl is a legend in my family. Born in the 1880’s, she was a woman before her time in many ways. She graduated from High School and then went on to become a Conservatory Graduate in the early 1900’s. Why do I share all of this? In honor of “Women’s History Month!”
