Four , and Six , providing much-needed green spaces for communities to gather , relax , and play .
One of the most celebrated successes of the project has been the complete rehabilitation of the Kingston Seawall Esplanade . This iconic space , once neglected , has been transformed into a bustling hotspot for families and tourists . The seawall now offers a vibrant culinary experience , where local vendors cater to visitors , creating a space that is not only visually appealing but also economically beneficial for small businesses .
The project ’ s momentum continues with the development of four more recreational parks in Anna Regina , Tuschen , Diamond / Grove , and the National Park . The latter will house Guyana ’ s first-ever Children ’ s Park featuring a splash pad — a water play area designed specifically for kids . This innovative space promises to become a favorite destination for families , adding another layer of joy and inclusivity to the country ’ s public areas .
The National Beautification Project has been lauded for its positive impact on Guyanese communities , strengthening social ties among people from all walks of life . By creating safer , cleaner , and more attractive public spaces , the project has significantly improved the quality of life for many citizens . Moreover , it has played a vital role in raising environmental awareness and instilling a greater appreciation for the natural world . Looking to the future , First Lady Arya Ali envisions expanding the project to ensure that every administrative region in Guyana benefits from at least one public recreational park . Her ultimate goal is to create a network of public spaces that not only serve functional purposes but also showcase the country ’ s rich cultural heritage and natural beauty .
Mrs Ali hopes that the National Beautification Project will continue to foster environmental sustainability , national pride , and community well-being . As a symbol of progress and hope , the project inspires Guyanese to dream of a more unified , beautiful future for their country — one in which every citizen can enjoy the benefits of a greener , more vibrant Guyana .
