With Guyana experiencing rapid development , particularly in the wake of its burgeoning oil industry , the First Lady has spearheaded a movement to enhance both urban and rural landscapes , giving rise to cleaner , greener , and more aesthetically pleasing environments . This initiative is an essential part of Guyana ’ s modernization , ensuring that the country ’ s public spaces keep pace with its economic progress .
The project ’ s goals are broad and impactful , focusing not only on beautification but also on environmental conservation , community building , social cohesion , and tourism promotion .
