PRODUCTS IC Audio expands EN-54 options GERMAN PUBLIC address specialist IC Audio has added four new EN-54rated loudspeakers to its catalogue, including solutions for voice alarm applications and dif cult ceiling installations in public spaces. Leading the new arrivals is the DA-P 20-130/T-EN-54-rated, a 20W powered model equipped with a 130mm full-range loudspeaker and a 100V line transformer with four power adjustments. It is housed in high impact white ABS and equipped with a solid mounting bracket for con dence in installation. In addition, a 2x2 pin-ceramic block and a thermal fuse is provided in a junction box while the speaker chassis is protected against moisture. The 54-rated, a 6W powered speaker suitable for installation in concrete ceilings. The model is equipped with a 165mm full-range loudspeaker chassis and a 100V transformer with three power adjustments. Named the ASP880, the eight channel microphone preampli er IC Audio’s DL-E 06-130/T-EN-54 and ADC has captured the attention of DAW users with the manufacturer promising to turn home-recorded sessions into ‘world class recordings’. Boasting eight of the manufacturer’s console mic pres, the 1U ASP880 also offers newly designed Burr Brown AD converter technology, variable input impedance and variable high pass lters plus eight insert points between the microphone preamps and the converters. Two channels of Class-A JFET DI instrument inputs are onboard plus digital outputs comprising ADAT, AES and S/PDIF. The speaker offers IP 21C protection against the environment and can be mounted quickly. Named the SMA and SMQ and designed for exibility, the ampli ers are available in different con gurations with two or four channels and output options of 350W, 500W or 750W. Features include low, high and band-pass lters plus seven band EQ, both of which have adjustable frequencies and Q-factor. A delay function and dynamic bass boost are also onboard, both of which can be customised via the password and USB protected front-panel. Loudspeaker protection is also provided by an output power limiter. Simplifying con guration, meanwhile, is a library of loudspeaker presets and full system con gurations. The exible theme continues into the I/O, where the input selection matrix works in combination with XLR and terminal block signal connections. Outputs are performed using speaker and terminal block connections, while system integration is facilitated with an RS-232 port. Elsewhere, the manufacturer has also completed its Xeno range of loudspeakers for BGM applications with the addition of the Vexo8, which can be mounted either horizontally or vertically. The enclosure comprises an 8-inch mid/low range driver and 1-inch HF compression driver tted with a 100-degrees x 80-degrees horn to deliver more power than other models in the Xeno range but in the same compact cabinet. It is intended for installation in bars and nightclubs and Audac recommends extending its performance with the addition of a subwoofer. An optional 35mm pole adapter is also available for mobile applications.
