Online tutorials and training will be developed by the PGA Education and Player Development Departments. Tutorials
and training online content will include video and written material as well as an assessment to gauge understanding and
engagement will take approximately one hour to complete each tutorial/training session, thereby, earning one credit per
completion. Future MSR cycles will include new opportunities as Golf 2.0 continues to roll out.
The PGA of America has also launched in recent years the Performance Trak research program, which is designed to
support PGA Professionals and their employers in evaluating the performance of their facility. PGA Performance Trak is
the PGA's research program to deliver data and tools to support PGA Professionals and their employers in managing and
evaluating the performance of their facility.
PGA PGM 2.0 requires individuals interested in pursuing PGA Membership to pass three qualifying courses prior to
being eligible to register as a PGA Apprentice. Memos were sent to all current apprentices advising them of the timelines
established in which to complete the current program and avoid any interruption in their pursuit of PGA Membership.
Beginning in January 2010, individuals interested in joining the PGA Apprentice Program were directed to PGALinks and
“How to Become a Member”. Individuals pay a fee of $200.00 to access the three qualifying courses on The PGA
Knowledge Center. This fee allows access for six months. Upon completing the courses, individuals will be directed to
register for the qualifying test directly with ACT, the computer based testing agency of the PGA PGM program.
Individuals will test at a local ACT test center. Upon passing the qualifying test, and meeting employment and PAT
requirements, individuals may register as a PGA apprentice and begin Level One of the PGA PGM. The Level One access
fee is $560.00. Class sessions for the revised Level One began in July 2010.
December 2011 was the final current Level One Checkpoint, June 2013 is the final current Level Two Checkpoint, and
June 2014 is the final current Level Three Checkpoint for the old program.
