1.2 Launch of freight forwarding as a profession
in East Africa
FEAFFA initiated the processing of formally
transforming customs clearing and freight
forwarding into a recognized profession in East
Africa. A regional event was planned to launch
the sector as a profession. The launch event will
be held in Dar es Salaam with the EAC Chair of
the Summit expected to preside. The function is
expected to take place in 2015.
