BUZZING WITH COMPATIBILITY
Worrying about compatibility has
created a whole industry out of dating
tech, and as wearables expand, finding
Mr. or Ms. Right is following suit. Two
interns from San Francisco’s LUNAR
design studio conceptualized a way to
connect your interests to the jewelry
you wear. One is a charm that vibrates
near potentially compatible partners,
the second is a bracelet that uses charms
to express the wearer’s interests. - PSFK
PRESCRIPTION HEADBANDS
Migraines can be debilitating, but an electronic headband
named Cefaly could be the cure sufferers have been
looking for. e headband, from STX-Med, uses an
electrode on the forehead to stimulate a muscle in the
head, reducing the number of migraines the wearer
experiences throughout the day. - io9
WIFI ONESIE
SXSW is huge for fashion, tech and music, and the
BB.Suit found a way to combine them all. With 3D
knitting that embedded the tech into the onesie, songs
could be uploaded to the suit to highlight musicians at
the festival. What better way to find new artists than to
put on some comfy clothes? - PSFK
FEEL THE ACTION
With HDTV and second screen viewing, the only
thing that could get a fan closer to the action of their
favorite sport was to be on the field. Wearable
Experiments is changing that though with the Alert
Shirt, a haptic jersey that lets the wearer feel the
action. Using bluetooth and electrical pulses,
everything from tackles to pregame butterflies can be
felt through the shirt. - We:eX
CONNECTING COMFORT
Hoodies are a staple of loungewear, and with a little
bit of programming, these connected sweatshirts
could do just about whatever you want. e Zuzance
hoodie is NFC enabled, and because the tags aren’t
pre-programmed, the user can control what the
hoodie does from connecting to your phone to
sharing information with friends. - PSFK
