Now, configure the search key. Color Factory will try to match the content of the field specified in
the Image value field with the content of a record in the selected column. When there’s a match, the
content of the columns specified will be merged with the associated metadata fields.
If you choose File name in the Image value list you can make Color Factory search for a part of
the name, the full name or the full name with extension. By choosing Use part of name you can
specify the number of characters Color Factory should compare in the file name and the DSN column
content.
Extracting text from input images
Where: Channel | Metadata | Extract Text tab
Color Factory lets you extract text from the input images and store the text file separately in either
ASCII or XMP (XML) format. To do so, enable Activate text extraction and optionally choose to
store the text files in a separate folder. Otherwise, the text file will be stored in the image output folder.
Then choose between storing the text files in XML format, in which case all image text is extracted and
stored, or in ASCII format, in which case you may manually select the fields you wish to extract, either
by entering codes in the Text extraction field or by reading the template from an existing text file.
