Automatically adding text to images being processed
Where: Channel | Metadata | General tab
By clicking on the General Metadata Macro button you can define content that you wish to add certain
fields in the processed images and optionally specify conditions that must be met before the metadata
will be changed. This functionality may for instance be utilized to add a predefined copyright string to the
Copyright field (#116) if the Credit field (#110) contains the name of a photographer in the company.
ASCII conversion for multi-platform environments
Where: Channel | Metadata | General tab
By clicking on the Character Codepage Conversion button you may enable global system preferences
for character conversion in your system. By default, when this feature is enabled Color Factory will try

Windows Western Europe, Macintosh Western Europe or another output character set.
With an XMP-only system, character code mapping really isn’t an issue since Unicode, on which XMP
is based, doesn’t have multiple code pages like ASCII does. Hence, this feature is only useful in systems
that process files with IPTC text.

Factory lets you rename these categories automatically. Open the category mapping dialog by clicking on
the Category Code Mapping and then simply enter the input category and the new category to which
you want to change it.
