Defining output file name extensions, prefix and suffix
Where: Channel | File Name Options | Extension/Prefix/Suffix tab
Although Color Factory is not dependent on a file’s extension in order to determine its file type, you may
want to add an extension to the output files for other programs to correctly establish its type. Please note
that the maximum number of filename characters set on the File Name Options tab includes the dot (.)
and the extension (typically 1-3 characters).
You may also add a prefix or a suffix to the filename in order to determine the file’s color mode. For
instance, you may add RGB to RGB images, Lab to Lab images etc.
Metadata Options
Where: Channel | Metadata
Here you can set your preferences for Color Factory’s handling of metadata.
Enabling conservation of metadata in output files
Where: Channel | Metadata | General tab
In the General Options group, make sure that the Save Metadata with Output File option is
selected if you want to preserve or add metadata in output files. If you would like to strip the file of all
metadata, deselect the option. Note that if the Metadata feature isn’t enabled for a channel, metadata
will be preserved by default.
