Input Photo CD preferences

You may also choose the Photo CD size to extract when such files are to be processed. Any file size from
72kb to 72mb may be selected. If you choose a larger file than the image pack actually contains, the
largest possible image will be extracted.
Digital camera file handling
Where: Channel | Input File Formats | Images tab
Here you may set how incoming DCS camera files should be handled. By choosing Normal
processing, Color Factory will process the DCS file according to the defined channel settings. By
choosing Keep original file, the original DCS input file will be stored in the output folder after any file
tags (XMP, thumbnail etc) have been appended.
Choosing Extract largest premade JPEG makes Color Factory extract a JPEG from the raw file.
Saving a JPEG alongside the RAW image is a feature supported by newer camera models, and it gives
you the opportunity to get a high-quality JPEG for viewing the image while the actual raw image is
copied to another destination, for example directly to a raw image archive. Note than when you choose
this option you should also configure the channel to copy the original input file to a second location to
retain the original raw image, otherwise you will only get the JPEG.
The choice of Kodak profile lets you choose between two ICC profiles which simulate the effect of
different film types. The Kodak Portrait Look profile can be used to tone down the intensity of red colors
in the images. We suggest that you try both profiles and choose the one that gives the best result for you.
