Chapter 7: Setting process environment variables Where: Color Factory | Process Environment tab Color Factory Enterprise only! By clicking Color Factory in the console tree and choosing the Process Environment tab, you may set certain advanced options governing the way the Color Factory kernel operates. If running Color Factory on a multi-processor platform, you may wish to increase the maximum number of processes allowed simultaneously. The maximum number of simultaneous processes allowed amounts to twice the number of processors installed in the running system plus one; this guarantees that there will always be sufficient processor power available to process files at a reasonable pace. About processes When configuring a channel, you may set a priority for that channel. This way, channels requiring greater attention than others may be given priority over lower-priority channels. On the Process Environment tab you may set the Maximum delay of medium and low priority channels to ensure that channels of lower priority are given sufficient attention as well. 12 FotoWare
