The composition of solids inside the
transparent cubes helped in studying
the volumes thus further helping the
stage for conversion of planes into the
same. The further step involved
observing
the
textures
and
implementation of colors in a particular
scheme.
The continuity in design and development from 2d to 3d can
be well understood. Nails as points in a space show the
principle of unity . Different options and ways of joining the
points to form lines show interesting principles of radiation,
dominance and focus can be seen in the LATER stages OF
DESIGN . Elevating the lines and projecting them up in the
third dimension gives the formation of the planes be they
simple rectangular to curved to tapering and curvilinear. In
the stage 7 the colors have been applied on the spaces so
created on the base of the model which are the tint, tone and
shades of violet to form a contrast with the orange color of
the woolen threads. Here the students very well understood
the steps in the evolution of a design if they what it to be
more from oriented with concepts generating from the
elements and principles of design.
Conclusion –
Learning and explore design issues. It was rightly judged that a class being composed of a number of
students doesn’t guarantee that all students respond to a particular way of learning a topic, hence the
same was dealt in different ways by the faculty to make it easy for the students to receive it at their end.
