St. Francis College 2017–2018
Annual Dream-Maker Report
A Message from Lawrence A. Marsiello ’72, Advancement Committee Chairman
and Thomas F. Flood, Vice President for Advancement
J
ohn Lennon once shared: A dream
you dream alone is only a dream.
A dream you dream together is reality.
Through this Terrier magazine we
acknowledge each of you for dreaming
with us for the students we serve. Their
Big Dreams would not be possible without
your selfless generosity, caring heart, and
genuine concern for their well-being and
Lawrence A. Marsiello ’72
that of the mission of St. Francis College.
There is so much to celebrate from new scholarships estab-
lished, and others enhanced, to new academic programs, capital
improvements, and an annual fund that continues to grow.
All of this is made possible by your caring and sharing—with
the intention of giving the Terriers of today, and for generations
to come, a St. Francis College experience that prepares them
for their future and provides lessons for life. This dream-maker
report offers St. Francis College’s Board of Trustees, administra-
tion, faculty, and students an opportunity to highlight the
generosity of our believers and to express our heartfelt gratitude
to each of you for the investment you are making in moving
dreams to reality.
So many of the SFC believers listed on the following pages are
themselves graduates of the College and know firsthand the
value of a St. Francis College education
which is now 160 years old. Others are
family and friends, some serve as faculty
and administration, others are parents and
grandparents, and corporations and
foundations—all friends who witness the
good SFC is doing, and more importantly,
the good that this institution is putting out
in the world. The commonality of it all is
Thomas F. Flood
that each of us has a steadfast belief in the
ability of St. Francis College to transform lives for the better and
to enrich the life of the community in Brooklyn Heights, Greater
New York, and beyond.
C.S Lewis was quoted, “You are never too old to set another
goal or to dream a new dream.” Although St. Francis College
is 160 years old, today and every day, we dream a little more,
knowing that we have the support of you, our consummate
partners in mission.
There are so much more to do and so many more dreams to
realize. We do it together, we do it always, and we do it for the
students of today and those who will follow.
Please continue to dream BIG with us.
