Cyril deGrasse Tyson ’53
Dr. Donald G. Mulligan ’75
Whether working in the administration of Mayor John
Lindsay, as Vice-President of The City College of New
York, Assistant Director of the Port Authority of New
York and New Jersey, or heading his own firm, Cyril
deGrasse Tyson ’53 (pictured at left with his son,
Neil deGrasse Tyson, at Neil’s Volpe Lecture Series
event in 2013) spent his life helping others. At St.
Francis College he was a member of the track team
(two time 600 yard champion), German Club, and the National Federation of Catholic
College Students. He died December 29, 2016. Cyril deGrasse Tyson was 89.
Dr. Donald G. Mulligan ’75
returned to his alma mater and
taught in the Department of
Management for 15 years. Before
teaching, he worked for 30 years in
financial services at Citibank,
Chemical Bank and Mellon Bank. He then worked for
Bishop Ford High School and Lavelle Prep Charter
School. He passed away March 5. Donald G. Mulligan
was 65.
