EAST TERRE HAUTE:
Deming Park: The Crown Jewel of Terre Haute Deming Park is Terre Haute ' s most elaborate green space. At the start of the park, visitors can meander through the Holly Arboretum, which houses hundreds of holly trees. The Holly Society of America recognizes the Deming Park Holly Arboretum as an Official Holly Arboretum. It is among only 18 Official Holly Arboreta in the
United States and 21 worldwide. It is also the only arboretum located in a city park.
Visitors enjoy the train rides, playgrounds for younger and older children, and picnic areas, while sports lovers flock to the tennis courts and disc golf course. During the winter, Deming transforms into a snowy wonderland, complete with sledding hills and festive light displays. Deming Park expands into a linear park down Ohio boulevard, a haven for fitness walkers and runners.
Dobbs Park: A Nature Lover ' s Paradise Adjacent to Deming Park via the Poplar Street trail is Dobbs Park, which combines tranquility and education with its beautiful Native American Museum.
