The birthplace of the Coca- Cola Bottle, Business & Industry, Transportation, Origins, Haunted Legends, Schools & Sports, and Historic Hauteans are a few of the ever-changing exhibits throughout the museum. The Allen Memorial Planetarium is located on the grounds of Terre Haute South High School. The planetarium is an educational facility which provides programs for students and community groups in Vigo County and the surrounding area. School and community groups may schedule times for programs during school hours.

Come view the spectacular beauty of nature at the Clark- Landsbaum Deming Park Holly Arboretum, recognized by the Holly Society of America as an“ Official Holly Arboretum.” There are only 21 arboretums worldwide with this distinction. There are only 18 in the United States and three foreign countries that meet the strict criteria for this special designation.

Visitors can consult a naturalist, observe wildlife or take a hike in this park’ s 105-acre wooded setting. Wander through the natural beauty of the butterfly gardens. Educational programs are offered throughout the year. Open 9 a. m. to 5 p. m. Monday- Friday, 10 a. m. to 4 p. m. Saturday, closed on Sunday, and all major holidays. Free admission.
FARRINGTON’ S GROVE HISTORIC DISTRICT TOUR Poplar Street to Hulman Street and Fourth Street to Seventh Street
Farrington’ s Grove, a 19thcentury neighborhood with about 800 homes and other buildings, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Architectural styles include Classical Greek Revival, Colonial Revival, Queen Anne, Italianate and Victorian. Tour pamphlets are available at the Vigo County Historical Museum.

Step into the past at this 19th-century village, complete with 20 structures. They include homes, shops, a barn, church and a grist mill. During the park’ s annual Pioneer Days, visitors can watch costumed pioneers demonstrate the crafts of the era— wool spinning, rail splitting, candle making, carpentry, soap making and more.
