The vision for “The Campus of Life” is simple, to provide a learning environment incomparable in the way that we educate, transform and serve children, adults and seniors with autistic and other special needs. TERI’s proposed campus is designed to integrate both state of the art and technologically advanced programs and services. THE WHY BEHIND OUR VISION The need for a model program like “the Campus of Life” is important considering the growing challenges we are faced with in society. The rates of children being diagnosed with autism and other needs is growing at alarming rates. Our model campus is the impetus and 1 6 in children are being diagnosed with some kind of special needs, ranging from ADHD to developmental disabilities $2.4 million average cost of raising a child with special needs 200% increase in diagnosis of autism over the last decade starting point where we can experiment with innovative ways in making breakthroughs with our student population. Where we can reduce the costs associated with caring of children and adults with special needs, and where we can develop children into adults that can be productive and contribute in their own special way to society. The need is now, and the time is right. Our model campus will be the location where teachers, and therapists will come together synergistically to find, explore and develop new solutions in learning and caring for the special need and autistic populations. We hope you will join us in our vision to build our new campus so we can fulfill our dream.
