elemarketing is categorized as a direct marketing technique which involves using
telephone for marketing a product or a service. It has changed the present
marketing strategy and has become an important tool in the marketing process.
Telemarketing is when an external resource (sales person) is used to help an organization
in order to sell its products and services to its target market. The sales person uses a
telephone to sell some kind of product/services to the potential consumer with detailed
information.
Telemarketing is a very cost effective method along with the public relations support, to
boost sales for a new business venture as compared to the traditional marketing channels.
It is the best way to find out about the company’s strengths and weaknesses as they can get
customer feedback instantly.
Through this method companies can get close to the consumers that they would never be
able to reach, in a face to face meeting. For telemarketing there has to be a very good first
impression by using an individual’s language skills, personality and voice.
Calling during specific times
As several companies are employing telemarketing techniques to communicate with their
customers on a daily basis, they make so many calls that the receiver often times get
frustrated and annoyed. Therefore a bad telemarketing can impede company’s image due
to large number of cold callers. A company that offers successful telesales service will
ensure to make calls during specific times of the day, in order to avoid disturbing the
customers.
Strong Channel
A telesales service is a very strong channel for marketing any campaign primarily. It is a
helpful way of getting your brand noticed and clearly shows the return on investment for
the company. It is beneficial to have public relations and telemarketing to go hand in hand
to support the overall marketing campaign. Also it helps in building stronger customer
relationships.
