TECHNIP ENERGIES TURBOCHARGES TEESSIDE’ S ENERGY TRANSITION
Progress- Luke Fogarty and Kiara Marshall have started their construction careers with Technip Energies.
A TIME OF TRANSITION
C ould you help shape a more sustainable future?
Technip Energies is a technology and engineering powerhouse for energy infrastructure and decarbonisation.
With a workforce of more than 17,000 employees spanning 34 countries, Technip Energies brings energy projects to life.
Roles in the company include engineers, scientists, administrators, project managers and more.
And right here in Teesside, Technip Energies is teaming up with GE Vernova and Balfour Beatty to deliver a game-changing project.
The Net Zero Teesside Power and Northern Endurance Partnership Project( NZT Power-NEP) is located in Redcar, bringing jobs and investment to Teesside.
The project is set to be the world’ s first gas-fired power station with
carbon capture technology – generating power equivalent to the annual electricity needs of more than one million UK homes.
To reduce CO 2 being released into the atmosphere, up to two million tonnes a year will be captured, transported and safely stored under the North Sea with a process called“ carbon capture and storage”( CCS).
NZT Power and NEP are also backing schemes that will see 175 young people across Teesside launch their careers in what’ s called the‘ Energy Transition’ – as we move closer to more sustainable ways of producing energy.
It’ s a sector that’ s always looking for the next generation of thinkers, creators and problem-solvers to help tackle global challenges.
Could that be you?
The ever-evolving energy industry offers exciting opportunities to help shape a decarbonised and more sustainable world.
If you enjoy science, maths or technology, you might consider studying engineering, robotics or environmental science.
Such skills are crucial for designing and building innovative energy solutions like wind turbines, hydrogen plants or carbon capture systems.
You could pursue apprenticeships or vocational training, which provide practical skills and help you enter the industry quickly.
Or you could earn a degree in fields such as renewable energy, engineering, chemistry or data science.
‘ Traditional’ roles in energy will remain just as essential as they always have been. But‘ traditional’ is transitioning to serve the new forms of energy – and Technip Energies is a great place to do that.
If you have an interest in being a part of the global effort to create a sustainable future for everyone, the start of your career can be right here in Teesside.
But don’ t just take our word for it – hear from two young graduates who have joined the team …
