FOR YOU? THINK AGAIN
HOW PD PORTS IS HELPING MORE YOUNG PEOPLE DISCOVER CAREERS THEY NEVER THOUGHT POSSIBLE
Every young person deserves the chance to discover what they’ re good at and where their future could take them.
That’ s why PD Ports is working with SEND schools and colleges across Teesside to help more young people explore careers in the port industry and build confidence in their abilities.
Working with schools including Discovery, Mo Mowlam Academy, Beverley School and KTS Academy, we’ ve created tailored, hands-on work experience activities focused on:
TEAMWORK
COMMUNICATION
SAFETY
MOVING CARGO
In control- trying out a crane simulator during work experience.
Students get the chance to see what happens at one of the UK’ s busiest ports and learn more about the wide range of careers that help keep goods moving around the world.
Our team make sure adaptions are in place where needed, giving students the chance to try our crane simulator and remote-control equipment, showing how changes in technology are creating new opportunities across the industry.
