> Nationally recognised qualifications : Earn NVQ Level 3 , BTEC Diplomas and possibly HNC , HND and beyond .
> On-site training facility : The Bolckow Apprentice Training Facility was opened in 2019 – an extension to the main machine shop , Tees Components invested more than £ 100,000 to create a functional space for their apprentices to learn and develop . The training facility includes both manual and CNC lathes and mills , surface grinding , bench work and a workshop classroom area complete with IT facilities . Over the last five years , the company has continued to invest and expand in the facility , with four new machine tools and a new FANUC simulation panel .
> Continued Support : As well as going to college , you ’ ll also be supported with on-the-job learning . Tees Components has a dedicated training coordinator who works closely with the firm ’ s apprentices , helping them develop .
Welcome to the Class of 2024 ! Tees Components is welcoming its newest recruits to join the East Cleveland-based heavy engineering firm .
For the third year in a row , the firm has expanded its apprentice intake , with six brand new machine shop apprentices joining the ranks and giving a total of 12 engineering apprentices and 14 apprentices across the business .
More than just machining A career at Tees Components isn ’ t always about machining – it ’ s a diverse business , offering training and career paths in all departments . Some of the firm ’ s current apprenticeships include digital and IT , as well as customer service and business administration .
A plan for the future Your time with Tees Components doesn ’ t have to end when you complete your apprenticeship . Following completion of your training , you ’ ll be offered the opportunity to continue at Tees Components in permanent employment . The firm ’ s apprenticeship alumni make up a third of the team , with many of them progressing into staff roles and being part of the senior management team .
