ORANGE PIP MARKET
The last Saturday of every month is a date
for food and culture-lovers' diaries alike as
a shiny artisan food market takes hold in
the heart of Middlesbrough. Inspired by the
likes of Maltby Street Market in London and
Brooklyn Flea Market in New York City.

REDCAR TRIATHLON
See the competitors battle it out in the sea,
on bikes and on their feet at they compete
in a 750m open water swim, followed by
a 20k bike race and 5k run along Redcar's
regenerated seafront. This event is also a
European championship qualifier.

SALTBURN FOOD FESTIVAL
Saltburn Food Festival is for food lovers,
serious shoppers and those who just like to
browse. Come and enjoy the ambience on
the streets as chefs entertain you in the open
air demonstration kitchen, eat al fresco from
pop-up cafes and street food stalls. Enjoy the
myriad of festival fringe activities happening
around the town.

AUGUST
STOCKTON INTERNATIONAL RIVERSIDE
FESTIVAL (SIRF)
Be prepared to be intrigued, entertained,
puzzled, moved and made to laugh out
loud as the Stockton International Riverside
Festival celebrates 30 years of SIRF. With
more than 100 shows, five UK premieres,
daredevil flaming high wire acts, the biggest
community carnival in the Tees Valley,
theatre, dance, circus and much more.

GREASE – DRIVE-IN CINEMA
Round up your friends for a fun evening,

is accessed via an FM frequency on your car

STOCKTON RIVER RAT RACE
The River Rat Race is a 10k or 5k race with
a twist – swim, wade, crawl, climb, jump,
splash and run around this urban obstacle
course. Join over 1,000 Rat Racers on the
start line for this wet ‘n’ wild unique running
course, linking together many special water
and shore based activities. The 5k and 10k
courses both follow the same outbound
route, taking in the Tees Barrage, HM Bark
Endeavour and the White Water Centre.

HARDWICK LIVE MUSIC FESTIVAL
The North-East’s biggest music festival
features a whole host of big names including
Ocean Colour Scene, Fun Lovin’ Criminals,
Peter Doherty, Soul II Soul, Buzzcocks,
Gabrielle, Cattle and Cane, The Brand New
Heavies and The Bootleg Beates. There’s
also local act, DJs, comedians and pop-up
restaurants. The nutty boys Madness play
the same venue the previous evening but
separate booking is required.
