Tees Lifestyle Awards 2020 A celebration of the Tees area The Tees region’s first lifestyle awards event will celebrate and showcase businesses and individuals from the area when it launches in 2020 – and sponsors are now being sought. Resolution Media and Publishing – the team behind Tees Life and Tees Business magazines – will host the Tees Lifestyle Awards, with the inaugural event to be held at Wynyard Hall on September 24 2020. Sponsors are now being sought for categories within the awards, which will shine a spotlight on firms and people from a variety of businesses and lifestyle sectors across the Tees Valley region. Categories will include Best Restaurant, Best Bar and Hotel of the Year, while they will also single out visitor attractions, high-end retailers, cultural events and the Teesside Brand of the Year. There’ll also be individual awards for beauticians and the most creative Teessider, a ‘Talking Up Teesside’ award, and the first Teesside Personality of the Year will also be revealed during the celebrations. Organised by the team behind the established Tees Businesswomen Awards, the event and all sponsors will be widely publicised in both Resolution publications – Tees Life and Tees Business – reaching thousands of people in homes and businesses across the region. Tees Life editor and Resolution events manager Julie Burniston said: “Tees Life is very much a celebration of the Tees area – like all our publications, they shout loud and proud about all the great things happening in the region. “The first Tees Lifestyle Awards event will give lots of businesses and people an opportunity to shout about their own success stories and achievements, both on the night in front of hundreds of people, but also to thousands of people within our publications.” 6 Tees Life, launched in spring 2017, now has a print readership of 30,000 and is delivered free to homes and businesses across Teesside including Wynyard, Eaglescliffe, Yarm, Ingleby Barwick, Wolviston, Norton, Hartburn, Nunthorpe, Marton, Linthorpe, Stokesley and Guisborough. Tees Business is the region’s quarterly B2B magazine, delivered free to the business communities of the Tees Valley, with a 20,000 print readership covering Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland, Stockton, Billingham, Yarm, Wynyard, Sedgefield, Hartlepool, Stokesley and Darlington. Julie added: “We’re really excited about this new event as it will help us celebrate many of the companies and people who don’t often get the recognition they deserve in traditional business awards events. “There are also excellent marketing opportunities for businesses to support the category awards and get their name and branding out there to a combined 50,000-plus audience.” Award category sponsorship packages are available for £3,000 (+VAT) and include a table of ten at the event, presentation of their award and a range of marketing and branding.
