r Rashpal Singh has every reason
to celebrate. Just recently he was
chosen as one of four experts from
the UK to be mentored by the world’s leading
cosmetic surgeon, Mauricio de Maio.
This is a massive accolade for
Middlesbrough-born Dr Singh who studied
at Newcastle University and qualified
as a doctor, GP and cosmetic medical
practitioner as well as opening the stunning
DRS Medispa in Linthorpe – a high-end
clinic offering the very best in skincare and
anti-ageing techniques.
Already one of the most advanced
cosmetic injectors in the country, this
invitation really does single Dr Singh out as
a leader in his field and the mentorship will
allow him to pass on invaluable advice to
fellow professionals.
The significant growth and use of anti-
ageing injectables won’t have passed Tees Life
readers by, but the beauty of Dr Singh’s work
is that it is undetectable.
‘’We offer a bespoke service to men and
women to help them look their best in a very
natural way without any signs of obvious
treatments,” he says. “Good cosmetic work
should be non-detectable and this really
comes down to having a clear, in-depth
understanding of anatomy and the function
of the face, as well as how to inject to a high
level.
‘’Feeling that they look tired is the most
common reason people come to me, usually
between the ages of 35 and 60. They may be
showing the first or more advanced signs of
ageing, but I will not treat lines. Treating a
line has never made anyone look better, but
by treating certain parts of the face I can
make the patient look and feel their best. It’s
a journey we undertake together.”
Dr Singh has been in the industry for
almost ten years now and has treated
thousands of patients over that time, so he
really understands how to achieve a natural,
yet powerful result. However, it’s important
to remember that not every procedure will
suit every face.
‘’I always give each client a detailed and
comprehensive assessment,’’ says Dr Singh.
‘’It’s also vital that I educate them on the
ageing process. Far too many people say they
want this or that done and it takes an honest
doctor to say, ‘No’. I always put the patient’s
best interests above everything else. You can’t
look 25 when you’re 65, but you can look like
the best and freshest version of yourself.”
As befits a doctor at his level, Dr Singh
is not cheap. “You will get people who are
price-conscious and those who are quality-
conscious,” he explains. “The quality-
conscious will always opt for the best that
they can get and they will come to me,
because when you are spending money on
your face, and your face is on show every
day, then you want the best.
“I’m proud to say that there are lots of
experienced people out there who offer
this service but there are very few who are
national leaders.”
