Rob Earnshaw, DigitalCity A young entrepreneur who led a successful campaign to promote the North’ s creative and digital industries has taken the helm of a major project to drive the growth of digital industry in the Tees Valley.
Rob Earnshaw has been appointed director of DigitalCity and has placed improving people’ s lives through digital technology as one of the key priorities of the project.
The 29-year-old, who founded Creative North, also wants to use DigitalCity as a focus for promoting women in technology and to drive economic growth through disruptive technology.
DigitalCity is led by Teesside University and is acknowledged as a major catalyst for economic regeneration throughout the Tees Valley.
James McKelvie, Sanderson Weatherall Chartered surveyor and property consultancy Sanderson Weatherall, which has an office in Stockton, has enhanced its valuation team with the recruitment of a healthcare sector expert.
James McKelvie has been appointed as consultant within the valuation team and brings with him 25 years’ experience in surveying and specialist healthcare advice.
The appointment sees James, who previously worked as a valuation surveyor for Sanderson Weatherall in the 1990s, bring a combination of regional and national market knowledge of the healthcare property sector to his role.
Chris Davis and Simon Daykin, Prismatic Wealth A Teesside firm of independent financial advisers has increased its management team with two new appointments.
Prismatic Wealth, which has offices in Stockton, has welcomed Chris Davis as investment director and Simon Daykin as a financial adviser.
Chris started his career as an analyst within fund management houses in London, becoming an investment consultant to institutional pension schemes. Since 2004, however, he has worked with entrepreneurs, families and individuals in London and the North providing investment and portfolio management services, in boutique and private investment offices.
He has a breadth of experience across asset allocation, strategy and investment management, investing in public and private markets and through funds from around the world.
Simon is joining Prismatic Wealth having spent the last 13 years in the education sector.
Klaudia Robinson, Sam Shaw and Lewis Hunt, Seymour Civil Engineering A civil engineering specialist has given three students the opportunity to take their first step on the career ladder by taking them on as apprentices.
Klaudia Robinson, Sam Shaw and Lewis Hunt have all joined Hartlepool-based Seymour Civil Engineering as apprentice management trainees.
They have all enrolled on the three-year Construction Built Environment course at Hartlepool College of Further Education, and will spend four days a week at Seymour with the remaining day based in the classroom to complete the academic part of the programme.

Alex Smith, from Newcastle, qualified with the firm in 2008 and later became an associate with Endeavour Partnership’ s
commercial dispute resolution team.
His promotion to partner comes thanks to Alex’ s extensive experience in handling real property and cross-border disputes, acting for a broad range of clients including those in the construction sector, landlord and tenants, international businesses and as solicitor agent for lawyers across Europe.
Alex was admitted to the prestigious office of notary public in 2012 which allows him to authenticate and certify documents, facts and events to facilitate overseas transactions and litigation.
Louise Anderson, Crake & Mallon A well-established Stockton funeral firm has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of an IT specialist
Louise Anderson, who has joined the team at Crake and Mallon in Stockton as business support manager, is the third generation to be involved in the running of the familyowned firm.
The granddaughter of the founder, Robert Crake Senior, Louise has been appointed to help take Crake and Mallon forward on a number of fronts.
Initially her role will focus on improving and upgrading the firm’ s IT facilities including updating the firm’ s accounting and financial management systems.
She is also tasked with increasing the firm’ s web presence with the launch of a new Crake and Mallon website.
David Fish, Baldwins Accountancy Group An independent accountancy firm is continuing its investment in Teesside with a senior appointment to its corporate finance team to help local businesses grow.
David Fish has joined Midlands-based Baldwins Accountancy Group, which recently acquired Yarm-based Rowlands Accountants and Wynyard-based Evolution, in the role of corporate finance director for the North East region, which now covers eight different offices.
His new role will see him leading on a
