TEES Business appointments

Ian Basford, Nortech Group Nortech Group has announced the appointment to its board of highlyexperienced engineering industry specialist Ian Basford.
Basford has been with Wynyard Business Park-based Nortech since 2014, leading its management and consultancy division, a role he will continue to fulfil alongside his position on the group board.
Having helped to found the division, Basford has successfully established its services across sectors ranging from oil and gas, maritime, petrochemical and pharmaceuticals to mining and infrastructure.
Elaine McLaine-Wood, Punch Robson Solicitors Tees law group Punch Robson has appointed Elaine McLaine-Wood to the position of managing partner.
The appointment of McLaine-Wood, who has been a partner at the firm since 2006, is another important step in the development of Punch Robson, which has offices in Ingleby Barwick and Coulby Newham.
McLaine-Wood, who joined Punch Robson as head of the corporate and commercial department, is president of the Tees Valley Law Society and an active member of the Board of Trustees at autism charity Daisy Chain.
Jenny Williams, Tees Business Tees Business has added to its team with Jenny Williams taking up a newly-created business development executive role.
The appointment is designed to help develop client relationships with new contacts while also working with existing clients.
The 37-year-old Boro fan, who’ s originally from Middlesbrough, recently left her role with Thomas Cook after 17 years with the company.
Williams, from Ingleby Barwick, currently works part-time for the Middlesbrough and Teesside Philanthropic Foundation and will juggle her role for the charity with her new part-time role with Tees Business.

Helen Roberts, from Barnard Castle, has joined the Stockton-based legal firm, having
worked across the North throughout her career on many high-profile projects.
Roberts, who specialises in commercial property, will be developing Endeavour Partnership’ s property finance offering and joins one of the region’ s leading commercial property teams, recently named as a topperforming firm in the prestigious Chambers and Partners Guide for its expertise in investments and developments, particularly in retail, agriculture, waste management and industrial sectors, as well as property finance.
Becky Edmundson, Crathorne Hall Crathorne Hall has appointed Becky Edmundson as sales manager.
Hall, who has 16 years’ experience in sales and customer relations, will be responsible for ensuring the continued delivery of Crathorne Hall’ s customer service to its corporate clients.
A £ 4 million restoration of the hall, completed in October 2015, included the restoration of 17 bedrooms and the hotel’ s County Suites which includes three meeting and function rooms integrating new technologies including state-of-the-art audio visual equipment and WIFI.

Wayne Pocket, 45, and Robby Hugill, 29, bring extensive experience from a range of industry sectors to support TTE’ s growing position as a leading supplier of technical training, competency assessment and consultancy to international business.
Originally from South Africa, Pocket has worked in business development and management for 20 years with training experience in regulatory and professional qualifications across various sectors.
