EV EN TS Assist Women’s Network: Reclaiming Hidden Teesside Women Middlesbrough Central Library To mark International Women’s Day, Assist Women’s Network presented an afternoon of talks and poetry which brought to life three incredibly inspirational yet overlooked Teesside women – Maragaret Wright, Naomi Jacob and Maude Mary Chadburn CBE. The event included input from Jessie Joe Jacobs, Labour’s Tees Valley mayoral candidate and Sade Sangowawa, chief executive of Stockton-based Cultures, while Halo Project’s Yasmin Khan was appointed Assist goodwill ambassador. Attendees also heard from former Stockton South MP Dr Paul Williams during the event which was organised by Active Chartered Financial Planners at their premises on Teesside Industrial Estate in Thornaby.
