organisations to delay investment, Nikki and
Natalie feel there are plenty of reasons to
feel positive about the future of the labour
market.
“Projects anticipated to come to
fruition in the next 12 months will provide
a substantial boost to the local labour
market,” said Nikki. “With Tees Valley and
surrounding areas becoming increasingly
recognised as industry hubs for fair trading,
we are delighted to hear of projects such
as the Tees Renewable Energy plant, Sirius
Minerals and, of course, the possibility of
Teesport becoming a Free Port.
“These industry-changing projects will
bolster the region’s profile and provide many
economic benefits to our community.”
“There’s so much opportunity in
Teesside,” adds Natalie. ‘We’re in that
limbo period at the moment but we’re busy
preparing for the future. RMS is ideally
positioned to play a major part in providing
the labour needed to fuel the area’s future
prosperity and we’re extremely excited
about the prospect of being part of such
industry-changing developments.
“The core of our Darlington operation
is servicing the Teesside region and that’s
something we’re passionate about growing,
especially as we approach our 20th year as
a local, independently-owned business.
“We want to be involved in the projects
that are coming up so we can help shape
the economy. We’ve grown organically
from two employees to 34 and that’s set to
increase further. Our vision over the next
two years is to open another North-East
branch. This is where we have our roots and
we’re excited to be pushing forward.”
RMS are also delighted to announce
the appointment of Matthew Regan
who has joined the team as their
business development consultant.
Matthew forms part of the company’s
growth strategy and has already made
a positive impact in the role.
Natalie commented: “Matthew is an
excellent addition to the team and his
role will assist our 2019 strategy for
business growth across the North-East.
“His industry experience and
business ethics complement our vision
for the future, as well as cementing our
intention to further develop our client
portfolio through transparent business
partnerships, whilst delivering a first-
class recruitment service.
“Matthew has many years’
experience in the industry, and his
refreshing approach and people skills
will only enhance RMS’s excellent
reputation. We look forward to sharing
our successes as we welcome
Matthew into our team.”
RMS will be attending the Tees
Businesswomen Awards for a second
year and are delighted to be sponsoring
the Best Newcomer category. It’s clear
from their operational structure and
durability in such a reactive industry
that they share the Tees Business
passion for the female entrepreneurial
spirit.
any businesses have the view
that recruitment agencies are
there to pick up the phone and backfill
for absence with temporary labour.
Some businesses utilise agencies
for volume recruitment or one-off
projects - and that’s where it ends. For
some agencies and businesses, this is
enough for their requirements.
RMS offers a different approach
which has been developed and
enhanced over the last 20 years.
The RMS approach is a flexible
outsourced infrastructure, with a
management team that understands
the employee lifecycle is not just about
recruitment; their managed services
combine recruitment and payroll with
HR, providing a service designed to
complement the whole employment
cycle.
Operations director Nikki Butt says
their workforce solutions are based on
tried and tested methodologies, gained
through experience and best practice.
“Every solution we develop combines
proven process with a bespoke focus
to maintain or improve profitability and
efficiency,” she says.
“We provide clients with the
opportunity of owning an outsourced
workforce solution that is fully
integrated, driven by expertise and
offering a competitive edge that adds
real value.”
Due to their successes, and the
TUPE of hundreds of employees
under various terms and conditions,
combined with company benefits,
RMS have successfully maintained and
managed the complexities that come
with high profile sites, which Nikki says
demonstrates how they can quickly
respond to changing requirements and
perform to the highest levels.
