director Richard Croft and automotive
veteran Mike Wise.
Its new board of directors, led by
Travis Coleman, will help grow all existing
ventures as well as establishing new,
innovative ideas for the future.
Richard Croft, has worked for the likes
of Bond International, as well as a number
of other high-profile companies where he
made his mark.
Driving home innovation in the digital
world is Mike Wise, who began his
successful career at the age of 14.
hydraulic engineers with the appointment
of two new apprentice trainees at its head
office on Teesside.
Pipefitter Luke Morris and mechanical
fitter Hugo Abrol have joined IMH’s four-year
apprenticeship programme.
Headquartered in Middlesbrough,
UK IMH is a global player in hydraulic
engineering, with experience of working
across more than 50 countries.
Apprentices, Darlington Council
Darlington Council has supported two
apprentices to progress into full-time
employment while continuing to complete
their apprenticeships.
Robyn Allinson, 20, was offered a full-
time role eight months into her Level 3
apprenticeship, while Charlotte Moss, 21,
who had previously worked for Sainsbury’s
and also spent a year at Darlington College,
was offered an apprenticeship role within
the council and, while completing her
apprenticeship with Darlington Council
Learning and Skills, was offered a full-time
position working in the housing department.
Dr David Egner and Andy Richardson,
Materials Processing Institute
Leading UK steel and materials research
and innovation centre, the Materials
Processing Institute, has strengthened its
commercial team as it expands its support
to the steel industry.
MPI has appointed Dr David Egner and
promoted Andy Richardson to strategic
account manager roles for client partners,
British Steel and Tata Steel, respectively.
David and Andy will be responsible for the
management of the research programmes
and driving forward the strategic direction
of technology, production and process
developments for both organisations.
Apprentices, J Mac Scaffolding and
Safety Systems
Nine local residents have secured
apprenticeships or employment through a
partnership between Thirteen, the largest
housing association in the North East, and
expanding local company, J Mac Scaffolding
and Safety Systems.
As part of its social value commitment
as a Thirteen contractor, J Mac partnered
with Thirteen’s employability team to fill its
apprenticeship vacancies and six Thirteen
customers have been successful.
The Stockton-based company also
approached Thirteen to support recruitment
for a full-time administrator vacancy and
has employed two further job-seekers who
have been working with Thirteen’s offender
employment coordinator.
