Integrated services consortium PBS makes Teesside move

WORDS: PAUL FRASER PICTURE: TOM BANKS

PBS has opened a new regional base at the Wilton Centre in Teesside, marking its first UK expansion beyond its Aberdeen headquarters and a significant step in the company’ s longerterm growth strategy.

This move represents not only a geographical expansion but also a strategic shift towards strengthening PBS’ s presence in key onshore industrial markets across the UK.
PBS has established itself supporting both onshore and offshore oil and gas sectors, delivering integrated services across complex and highly regulated industrial environments.
These environments require a firm emphasis on safety, efficiency and compliance, areas in which PBS has developed significant expertise.
The move into Teesside reflects a strategic focus on expanding its onshore industrial presence, aligning the company more closely with evolving

energy, process and infrastructure markets, particularly those influenced by energy transition and technological advancement.
PBS was formed in 2019 as a consortium of Ponticelli, Brand Energy & Infrastructure and Semco Maritime, bringing together complementary capabilities in a single delivery model.
This integrated structure enables a coordinated approach to project delivery, reducing fragmentation often associated with large-scale industrial operations.
The business is supported by a global workforce of more than 47,000 employees across more than 300 locations worldwide, providing both operational scale and longterm stability while maintaining flexibility through locally based teams.
The consortium offers six service lines – operations, maintenance, engineering, construction, fabric maintenance and access solutions – providing integrated support across the full asset lifecycle.
This includes initial design and construction through to maintenance, modification and decommissioning.
This structure underpins PBS’ s approach to planning and coordination, supports safer execution and improves efficiency across complex industrial scopes where multiple disciplines must be aligned.
