New work – project engineer Amir Arjandi works on one of ITS’ new contracts.

Precision, Partnership and People:

Three essential pillars of ITS

Recruitment – graduate projects engineer Ned Boughey and graduate engineer Alsadig Alamin are new arrivals at ITS.

In the high-stakes world of systems integration, success is rarely defined by a single software deployment or a solitary hardware installation. Instead, it is measured by the ability to solve complex, multi-faceted challenges within the world’ s most stringently regulated environments. For Industrial Technology Systems( ITS), the past year has been a testament to this philosophy.

A significant surge in project wins across the manufacturing, life sciences and energy sectors has not only validated our technical approach but has acted as the primary catalyst for a sweeping programme of investment in talent, leadership, and strategic expansion.
The Catalyst: A Surge in Critical Project Wins The momentum currently felt across ITS is the direct result of a diverse portfolio of recent contract awards. ITS has secured pivotal roles in upgrading critical national assets across various industry sectors. This includes complex control system migrations for major blue chip clients.
In the life sciences arena, the demand for digital transformation has seen ITS win several“ Smart Factory” led projects. These aren’ t just maintenance led contracts; they are complex, long-term engagements where ITS is responsible for migrating legacy pharmaceutical manufacturing processes into fully validated paperless digital environments. These wins represent more than just a healthy order book; they represent a vote of confidence from industry leaders. However, with great project complexity comes the need for a robust“ human engine” to deliver them. It is this rise in demand that is fuelling our most ambitious recruitment and investment drive in our 30-plus-year history.
Scaling the Human Engine: The Graduate Scheme and Beyond To support the growth of the business, ITS has made a conscious decision to invest at both ends of the experience spectrum. Central to this strategy is the revitalised ITS Graduate and Apprentice Engineering Scheme. We recognise that the skills gap in UK engineering cannot be bridged by external recruitment alone; it requires the active cultivation of new local talent.
Our scheme is designed to be one of the most comprehensive in the systems integration sector. Rather than siloing young engineers into narrow technical niches, we provide them with“ full-lifecycle” exposure. An apprentice or graduate at ITS doesn’ t just sit behind a screen; they are involved from the conceptual design phase through to software development, factory acceptance testing and, eventually, on-site commissioning in safety-critical environments.
