A
desire to help people along their career paths fuelled Eve Hornby’ s career switch to recruitment.
As a nail technician running her own business, she was used to chatting to clients and developing her people skills.
So, when the chance came to join an apprenticeship training provider, she seized the moment and hasn’ t looked back – culminating in her new role as senior recruitment consultant at Achieve Professionals, covering recruitment across the legal, finance and HR sectors.
Eve, from Hartlepool, said:“ I knew I wanted to be with, and help, people. When you’ re a nail tech, you’ re a bit like a therapist, talking through people’ s lives. So, I thought,‘ Why can’ t I help people improve their lives and career patterns?’
“ I was recruiting tech and digital apprenticeships for about two years. Then I moved to another recruitment agency where I was responsible for HR and

business support recruitment, so I already have experience in several areas.”
As senior recruitment consultant, Eve will bring her HR expertise to the table while also embracing the finance and business support workload.
She started in July – the fifth team member at Achieve Professionals, whose reputation for recruitment excellence in the legal, HR and finance sectors continues to grow at pace.
Away from work, she loves hiking holidays, cooking, spending time with her dog and going to gigs.
And in the Achieve Professionals office at Queen’ s Square, Middlesbrough, she already feels right at home.
