In the heart of Teesside lies a company whose growth is a testament to both its deep local roots and a forward-thinking approach. INDUSTRO Design Engineering, a critical component in the INDUSTRO Engineering Group – a thriving organisation that will celebrate its tenth anniversary next year – provides the crucial first step in a seamless process that takes a client’ s vision and turns it into a realistic engineered solution, as INDUSTRO offers a full turnkey inception-tocompletion solution for its customers.
INDUSTRO’ s journey from a small office in Redcar to a £ 10m-turnover group is a huge success story, with one element in particular at the core of its expansion – its in-house structural design team.
According to CEO John Betts, this is no coincidence.
He says:“ INDUSTRO Design Engineering is crucial in providing a full, in-house approach to delivering our customers’ projects successfully.
“ Most projects start with a scope that requires a solution. Traditionally, a client would enlist the assistance of a designer to engineer a solution. This would then be‘ passed on’ to another company to help make this a reality.
“ INDUSTRO is different in that we provide the concept design, detailed designs and in turn detail it all through fabrication drawings, which seamlessly pass into our own fabrication facility.”
This cohesive workflow ensures the design, any associated procurement, fabrication, construction and eventual on-site erection are all aligned and managed by INDUSTRO efficiently.
John says:“ It is this approach that provides our project delivery with significant advantages. If something doesn’ t work, we can address it internally, ensuring swift resolutions and maintaining quality control, saving our clients both time and money, with the added convenience of having one key point of contact from project inception to delivery.”
The numbers speak for themselves, with the INDUSTRO Engineering Group experiencing consistent 30 % year-on-year growth.
As encouraging and welcome as this is, this type of sustained expansion brings its own set of challenges, and finding key personnel is one of the most apparent.
“ In order to facilitate and undertake the work our new customers are giving us, as well as providing our existing customer base with the high level of service that they have come to expect, it’ s important we recruit the right individuals to help the business grow,” says John.
