A warm welcome as Christine joins winning team

Around 100 of Teesside’ s growing businesses now call one of UKSE’ s two innovation centres in the region home.

With support from the UKSE workspace co-ordinators, who ensure the centres run smoothly, the team’ s latest addition has already been welcomed and is settled in her new role.
Christine Tranter, who lives in New Marske, happily took up the offer of a permanent post after a short spell as an agency temp and is based at the Redcar centre.
“ Every day is different,” she said.“ We have businesses here involved in everything from engineering, architecture and freight to design, software and saddlery, so it’ s a varied and interesting role.
“ We are here to make sure the centre runs well, overseeing all aspects of property maintenance, helping with any queries and running a busy reception area so our tenants are left free to concentrate on their own businesses.”

equipped meeting rooms and highspeed broadband, as well as ample free parking and a gym.
Recent six-figure refurbishments have provided even more flexible workspace, including smaller office units and hotdesking facilities, a restyled reception and shared networking and coffee areas.
“ They are really supportive business communities,” said Christine.“ We have Meet Your Neighbour breakfasts, coffee mornings and tenants also fundraise for local charities, including the food bank.
“ We would encourage anyone interested in our workspaces to pop along for a visit and see for themselves the great facilities we have on offer.”
UKSE’ s regional manager Sarah Thorpe said:“ The cost-effective workspace we provide is an important part of our business support, alongside our investment packages of up to £ 1m.
“ We were delighted Christine chose to join us, as our workspace co-ordinators play a vital role in keeping the centres running smoothly.”
