Founded in 2017 , Middlesbroughheadquartered Salesfire is revolutionising the e-commerce landscape from its base on Albert Road , helping retailers maximise online sales through sophisticated conversion rate optimisation tools .

With its most recent funding milestone – £ 2.75m from NPIF II – Mercia Equity Finance , which is managed by Mercia as part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II – the company is poised to scale its operations , continue innovating its technology and bolster its growing international client base .
CEO Rich Himsworth and CMO Josh McGregor signed the agreement in early November , sealing an investment that will fuel Salesfire ’ s next stage of growth .
Rich , who was honoured as the Tees Tech Awards Business Leader of the Year 2023 , is optimistic about the impact of this new funding round .
The latest funding brings the total amount raised from Mercia and NPIF to £ 5m . “ The funding reflects their confidence in us and in our future ,” Josh says . “ It was a relatively quick process because they invested in our Series A round , so they know us inside out . They saw the plans we had moving forward , and they were quick to react .
“ It ’ s a serious amount , but they obviously liked what they saw regarding our growth and our potential . They see the trajectory we ’ re on , and this investment allows us to move forward at full speed .”
Salesfire ’ s platform is unique in its focus on enhancing every stage of the customer journey .
Through tools such as personalised product recommendations , tailored email and SMS campaigns and real-time messaging , Salesfire enables retailers to deliver a more engaging and efficient shopping experience .
