Climatec ’ s expansion continues
WORDS : PAUL FRASER
Climatec Engineering , a Redcarbased provider of commercial gas heating and air conditioning installation and maintenance , is improving conditions for animals .
The move is the result of a strategic move by the Tees Valley specialists to hit new areas , with work on systems in veterinary practices nationwide a prime example of expansion .
Traditionally , Climatec has been focused on retail , schools and the warehousing and distribution sectors , but this switch highlights adaptability and commitment to meeting their client needs .
Beyond their established reputation for energy-efficient solutions in retail and distribution , they ’ re demonstrating a willingness to apply their expertise to specialised settings like veterinary practices .
Neil Gilsenan , Climatec ’ s co-owner , said : “ This strategic expansion showcases our commitment to growth and its willingness to cater for new markets .
“ By leveraging our existing expertise and adaptability , we feel we are well-positioned to establish ourselves as a trusted partner for veterinary practices seeking reliable and efficient air-conditioning , ventilation and plumbing solutions .
“ Veterinary practices require precise temperature control for operational needs , animal comfort and wellbeing .
“ By all accounts they also need meticulous air quality management to prevent the spread of airborne illnesses .
“ Our experience and service systems align perfectly with these requirements .”
Veterinary practices often have specific plumbing needs such as specialised sinks and hygiene stations , while maintaining a healthy and comfortable environment is crucial for animal care .
Animals have varying temperature needs depending on their health conditions and Climatec can design and install customised systems to maintain precise temperature control throughout the veterinary practice .
Climatec services encompass ventilation , air-con and plumbing needs , eliminating the hassle for veterinary practices of managing separate contractors for each system .
Neil added : “ A well-functioning HVAC system is critical for any veterinary practice ’ s daily operation .
“ We are committed to providing a fantastic customer service , ensuring prompt responses to service calls and minimising disruptions to the practice ’ s workflow – so anything we can do to help improve the environment we will .
“ Our team of qualified HVAC engineers and plumbers prioritise client satisfaction , working closely with veterinary practices to understand their specific needs and deliver solutions .”
New markets , such as those veterinary practices being targeted by Climatec , are a sign of the company ’ s determination to keep hitting the high standards they have been achieving .
The expansions have led to additions to the workforce and they continue to look for a number of new commercial gas , plumbing and air conditioning engineers who care .
Climatec was founded in 2017 by two colleagues who had more than 25 years of experience in the HVAC industry .
The Kirkleatham Business Park-based company designs and installs new systems for commercial properties , while offering preventative maintenance services to help keep those systems running smoothly .

Climatec also repairs problems that may arise with the systems they use and they can replace old or outdated systems with new , more energy-efficient models .
As revealed in the last issue of Tees Business , Climatec ’ s methods were recognised for delivering high-quality installations by a global player on the air conditioning market for the second year in a row .
Climatec won the prestigious HVAC Installation of the Year award for 2023 at the Midea Awards after being recognised for completing at a major retail distribution centre in Burton-on-Trent without disruption .
Neil and co-owner Paul Greensmith want to build on that success by achieving more great things in different areas – such as improving the conditions at the vets across the country .
