It ’ s an indication of just how small the world has become following technological advancements that Teesside ’ s very own Tricore is rolling out its services across the globe . Providing project management software , digital project completions and asset management to a range of industries offshore and onshore , the ambitious tech company has recently delivered an equipment management solution in Taiwan .
And the 12,100-mile round trip completed by digital operations manager Emma Bass was worth it . The result is that the service is now being rolled out in different countries , highlighting how Tricore ’ s progress is benefitting organisations everywhere .
Emma said : “ It has been hugely exciting for a UK company like Tricore to be heading to somewhere like Taiwan for the first time to work at a base there on behalf of a large UK company .
“ It was the first time we had delivered our new solution and we have now embarked on a large scale roll out – and it ’ s demonstrated the solution ’ s scalability .
“ We have trained people where English wasn ’ t their first language and it has been a huge success , saving a company money and time , and we have many innovative solutions . We have a solution for every aspect of a project .
“ It shows you what is achievable these days , given how we are now back in the UK and we are still able to work closely and support our client from here with our equipment asset management solution .”
Tricore ’ s solution effectively and essentially manages tools and equipment for clients .
The solution allows companies to track mobile tooling like testing equipment , hand held tools and harnesses using tags .
As an example , QR codes or RFID tags are placed on pieces of equipment being used around the world . Tricore ’ s solution tracks maintenance , installation , its location and when the item will need to be inspected .
Digital – Tricore ’ s hi-tech asset management solutions mean it can work closely with clients on the other side of the world from here in the UK .
