Flight – The two-day course in Zurich was split between practical and theory work .
Since then there has been an active recruitment push . Two more document controllers have been recruited and three students have joined the team in areas of marketing , sales and business development .
Two students are from Sunderland University and the other is an intern from Newcastle University .
Additionally , Tricore has taken over a second office space at Preston Farm ’ s Falcon Court .
A further sign of the company ’ s significant growth is the support Tricore has received from the Offshore Wind Growth Partnership , supporting growing and innovative companies .
The partnership is helping with strategic direction , growth and its refinement of services .
And the training of seven technicians to the required levels indicates how Tricore has big plans to operate in the renewables industry for years to come . Paul Bass , Tricore ’ s digital director , said : “ The offshore wind market is going to grow significantly . With the targets for net zero in 2050 in mind , demand for reliable and quality services will increase . “ At the moment , there is already a high demand for our variety of services , whether it be testing , document control or our innovative digital solutions , and now we have a team of highly skilled and trained technicians .
“ It is a skillset that is going to be in high demand for a long time . If a project goes wrong , it can cost organisations millions . Our testing allows turbines to generate power .

Gregg is currently working on a project off the French coast , while other members of the document control team are overseeing compliance on projects at Vesterhav , Denmark , off the North Sea coast on Dogger Bank and Gode Wind OWF , off the coast of Germany and Revolution Wind OSS , currently under construction in Singapore .
“ All of this links back to the testing we are doing from our training in Switzerland ,” said Gregg .
“ Those technicians will complete a report that is sent to a document controller . A report will be built and sent to clients to review – everything is documented along the way for compliance .
“ It is all about quality assurance , checking , certifying and documenting what has been found .
“ We are using slick and technological solutions to drive efficiencies in the testing regime through the collation of documentation that we work on .
“ Milestones in the contracts are linked to payment . Completion , for example , is a milestone event . Once the documents are complete , then you can apply for payment .
“ We pride ourselves on what we do . There is so much information onsite , such as photos and documents , all obtained in a relatively high-pressure environment .
“ Our team has come up with innovative digital solutions to capture data and imagery and reduce timeframes .
“ All clients are different . Some want pre-term documents within 48 hours , while others will want everything completed before we send in .”
Tricore ’ s range of services includes installation and maintenance services , the area of the business the seven technicians trained in Switzerland will be focused on .
It also boasts over two decades of experience in electrical and instrumentation installation and commissioning .
But , through the merger with Core Systems , Tricore also captures all project data , key performance indicators and risk metrics through a single digital platform .
The digital project management , completions and asset management arm of the business offers a range of services to the offshore and onshore industry .
Paul said : “ The way compliance documents have been captured , historically speaking , would have been a lot of photos , WhatsApp messages , manual processes and Word documents .
“ What we are now using is a bespoke piece of software developed by Tricore specifically for as-built reference .
“ We are using our own software to do that . Our physical installation services are going to benefit hugely from our latest training programmes .”
Tricore has also recently travelled to Taiwan to deliver its asset-management solution .
Paul added : “ We have been all over the world with our digital , software and asset management services , including a recent trip to Germany to demonstrate our VR cable joint training . These are exciting times for Tricore .”
