Entries open for region ’ s leading business awards

Entries and nominations are now open for the second annual Tees Business Awards , a celebration of the very best performers across the region ’ s business scene .
The inaugural Tees Business Awards featured tension , excitement and high emotion , including a “ hat-trick ” of wins for Middlesbrough FC , a poignant double for Ken and Catherine Devereux , top prize for family-run business Fleet Factors ( pictured ) and a rousing speech by worldrenowned artist Mackenzie Thorpe .
Around 380 people attended the 2023 awards , which are again being organised by Tees Business – this time in association with Middlesbrough-based global games developer Double Eleven – in April 2024 .
Tees Business director Martin Walker said : “ This event has already established itself as the leading business awards event for the Tees region . The atmosphere at our inaugural event was electric , with such drama and emotion for finalists and winners alike .
“ We aim to build on those foundations in 2024 and are delighted that Double Eleven have come on board at a time when they ’ ve just been named by The Times as the North-East ’ s fastest-growing business .”
There are 11 categories , including six company awards and four individual awards , including Tees Business Leader of the Year , Unsung Hero and awards for Making a Difference and Lifetime Achievement .
Company categories include Tees Business of the Year , Small Tees Business of the Year , Community Champions and awards recognising green innovation , diversity and innovation .
Entering or nominating for the Tees Business Awards is free . The entry deadline is January 26 2024 .
