The region ’ s fastest-growing businesses are set to be celebrated for a second successive year when Tees Business hosts the VelociTees in partnership with Azets .
The awards shine a light on our region ’ s fastest-growing firms in both turnover and job creation .
Organised by Tees Business , the VelociTees 2024 are sponsored by the Teesside office of leading business advisor and accountancy firm Azets , which also backed the inaugural awards .
To be presented at a lunchtime event in the conservatory at Wynyard Hall on Tuesday February 6 , the VelociTees are open to businesses in Middlesbrough , Stockton , Redcar and Cleveland , Stokesley , Hartlepool and Darlington .
Winning an award not only shows how far a business has come but is a positive acknowledgement of the teams who made it possible .
The 2023 VelociTees winners included games development specialists Double Eleven and Radical Forge , security expert Vistech Services , long-established Wilton Engineering and vape marketing firm Phoenix 2 Retail .

“ Following the success of the inaugural event , we are expecting it to attract even more businesses and be even bigger and better .

Entering is straightforward , although businesses must have at least two years of filed accounts to be eligible .
Applications will be considered by qualified accountants from headline sponsor Azets , who will act as judges .

The Turnover VelociTees categories ( for fastest growing turnover in percentage terms ) are :
Large business : Open to businesses with a turnover of more than £ 10m in latest filed accounts – sponsored by Savage Silk .
SME : Open to businesses with a turnover of between £ 3m and £ 10m in latest filed accounts – sponsored by FW Capital .
Small business : Open to businesses with a turnover of between £ 250,000 and £ 3m in latest filed accounts – sponsored by Teesside University Business School .
