Liz Law and Andrew Crowe , PD Ports PD Ports has welcomed two new additions to its executive leadership team .
The firm believes the introduction of Liz Law as chief financial officer and Andrew Crowe as chief commercial officer will “ ensure the prolonged strength of the executive leadership team and accelerate a period of transformation ”.
Liz joins from Royal Mail , where she held senior positions , latterly as the chief financial officer for Royal Mail UK .
Andrew joins as chief commercial officer after a career at Shell , where he held global executive roles within the oil , gas and energy sector .
Meanwhile , Jerry Hopkinson , currently chief operating officer ( COO ) and vicechairman , has been appointed executive chairman of PD Ports and will work alongside CEO Frans Caljé .
Jerry will be succeeded as COO by Paul Foreman , currently chief technology officer .
Steve Dale , KASL Engineering Group Multi-discipline engineering group KASL Engineering Group has appointed a new operations director .
Steve Dale started his engineering career as an apprentice at Ash & Lacy Perforators in Smethwick , West Midlands , and has amassed decades of engineering ,
leadership and executive experience across industry sectors including automotive , aerospace and defence .
Since 2020 , KASL Engineering Group MD Mike Styan has acquired four businesses – KASL Precision Engineering in Houghton-le-Spring , Teesside-based design consultancy Ardmore Craig , Washington ’ s Impress Precision Machining and , most recently , Aberdeenshire-based fabricators Weld-Tech Services .
Paul Bury , Savage Silk Law firm Savage Silk has welcomed on board Paul Bury , one of the region ’ s bestknown corporate and commercial lawyers . Paul has experience with a wide range of corporate matters including acquisitions and disposals , corporate restructuring , investments , corporate governance , commercial contracts and intellectual property .
During a legal career spanning almost four decades Paul advised high-profile organisations including ICI .
Before joining Savage Silk , he was managing partner for Endeavour Partnership in Stockton for almost nine years , having co-founded the firm in 1999 .
Elliot Harrison- Holt , Everflow Water supplier Everflow has appointed Elliot Harrison-Holt to the role of director of waste services to aid the delivery of its multi-utility growth plans .
Everflow marked the first step in its expansion plan to offer multiple utility services to the SME business market in 2022 , applying its technology and sustainability-driven approach to the commercial waste management market .
In this newly-created role , Elliot will support the continuation of this trend , holding responsibility for delivering Everflow ’ s ambitions within the waste sector .
Carl Wright and Martin Hobson , Clive Owen Chartered accountants and business adviser Clive Owen LLP has appointed two new partners at its Darlington office , which continues last year ’ s growth that saw the practice expand to 12 partners and 128 members of the team across four offices .
Carl Wright and Martin Hobson joined the firm in 2014 and 2015 respectively , progressing their careers to become partners .
Carl , who was promoted to director in 2020 , specialises in grants advisory work . He also heads up the firm ’ s transaction services and leads on sustainability strategy .
Martin joined Clive Owen LLP after relocating to North Yorkshire with his family . As a director in the audit and accounts team , he looks after a portfolio of SME clients and specialises in assisting new business start-ups .
Philippa Hirst , ELG Planning Darlington and Harrogate-based planning and heritage specialist ELG has made two appointments .
The firm is expanding its staff numbers to meet increased demand for its services .
