Ten years after the launch of Durata , what better way for Teesside ’ s renowned specialists in critical power infrastructure to celebrate than to go and mix it with the big players of the industry ?
For the last decade , managing director John McGee and installations director Andy Mullen have travelled down to London each year to attend Data Centre World at the ExCel .
The world ’ s largest gathering of data centre professionals is how organisers bill it and Durata wouldn ’ t disagree . That ’ s why John and Andy , armed with a strong team alongside them , went to showcase themselves this time around .
Instead of purely gaining an insight into how others do things , this time Durata had constructed a huge interactive stand of their own that really caught the eye and explained how this forward-thinking Teesside business is leaving its mark .
“ We are so proud to have reached our tenth anniversary , so what better way than to show the world what we do ?” says John .
Proud - Lewis Cobb , head of modular data centre projects and Jo Stiles , head of data centre solutions .
“ You don ’ t know how far you have come until you look back down the hill . We started in a room with just me , Andy and some PCs . We have grown into a business that really makes an impact .
“ To have achieved what we have achieved and to have put ourselves on the Data Centre World stage filled me with enormous pride . What ’ s more , I ’ m even more excited about what ’ s to come .”
More than 12,000 people are estimated to have attended Data Centre World over the two days in early March , allowing companies to highlight how they are helping to power the digital economy .
As annual visitors to the exhibition , John and Andy appreciate just how important it
