GOING GLOBAL

Based in Stockton-on-Tees , Erimus has been providing insurance solutions to North-East businesses since 1986 .
Having been established in the region for more than three decades , we have a rich knowledge of the industries our clients operate in .
Our client base is predominantly made up of large corporate and SME businesses working across industries such as construction , manufacturing and real estate .
In June 2022 , we were acquired by global insurance broking and risk management firm Gallagher .
From both sides , the acquisition was a perfect fit . Gallagher was able to extend its operations in the North-East and service more businesses , while Erimus , its clients and people would benefit from being part of a large global brand .
It makes sense , then , that Erimus rebranded to Gallagher this month and it has been a really exciting time for all involved .
We have placed clients , and our team , at the heart of this rebranding strategy to ensure that our delivery is consistent while we help grow Gallagher ’ s brand in the region from our office in Stockton . Being able to access Gallagher ’ s vast network and industry knowledge means our team can continue to deliver excellence to our clients .
After the rebrand , clients can rest assured they will continue to be supported with insurance and risk management services by the same team and receive the
Managing director Lee Elgie explains how becoming part of a worldwide firm will help Erimus Insurance Brokers provide an even better service to its clients
personal service they are accustomed to .
Really knowing and understanding our clients is a value we share with Gallagher , so being able to build on our strong relationships is key .
That ’ s why our rebrand has been underpinned by the need to ensure clients will receive the same high-quality service from the same individuals who understand their business .
Since becoming part of Gallagher last year , we have continued to grow our team through new hires and taking on a number of apprentices .
At the beginning of the year , we welcomed five new people to our team , who were a mixture of young talent and experienced insurance professionals , allowing us to grow our business and support our clients further .
We continue to give young people the skills and experience they need by offering apprenticeship schemes with the intention that they will stay with us .
Giving young people the start they need in their careers is not only important to us but brings benefits to the region ’ s talent pool more broadly .
Being part of a large brand such as Gallagher will enable us to take our recruitment drive further over the coming years by investing in local talent and skills .
This means we can make a more positive impact on employment and continue to invest in the region .
As well as investing in skills , we want to go further to support existing and new clients with their insurance and risk management needs .
We know the Teesside area is set to benefit exponentially from ongoing and proposed local development programmes , including Teesworks .
This will make the region home to the UK ’ s largest freeport , which will be home to commercial and industrial spaces , as well as manufacturing and renewable energy hubs .
Combining our industry knowledge with Gallagher ’ s means we are even better placed to support the Teesworks business and the region ’ s industry growth .
As the North-East ’ s industries continue to expand , we are ready to support with risk mitigation and help businesses to protect against any eventuality .
As we look ahead , we are excited about the opportunities that our rebrand to Gallagher provides to people and businesses in the region .
