ince starting out in 2011 , Yellow Box has steadily grown into a full-service agency . From its topfloor office at Fusion Hive on Stockton ’ s North Shore , the firm recently celebrated its 10th year in business and became a team of nine .
Yellow Box ’ s digital services now cover everything a business needs to market themselves online , including website design , ecommerce , social media management and ads , videography , photography , SEO and PPC .
“ We ’ re at the point where we now are a full-service agency ,” said managing director Brad Johnson , 32 , who started the business from his dad ’ s office back in 2011 after graduating from Teesside Uni with a degree in business studies .
“ Our clients are often looking to grow or have hit a ceiling with their revenue and don ’ t know what service they need to market themselves online .
“ As a team , we are able to sit down with the client and recommend the right strategy that fits with their desired goals and budget .”
Game-changing moment It was at the end of 2018 , while on DigitalCity ’ s SCALE programme , led by David Dixon , that Brad ’ s eyes were opened to Yellow Box ’ s untapped potential .
Brad said : “ Being part of that course was a game-changing moment for me . It completely changed my mindset and gave me the confidence to know that we could grow Yellow Box into a real business where we could offer more services by employing more people .
“ The business was seven years old , and we had grown our client base to more than 500 , but we were still only a team of three .

“ Our turnover and profit were really good , but to properly grow the business to where I wanted it to be , I knew we could bring in more people to offer new services to new and existing clients .
“ By the end of 2019 we had grown from three to seven and were helping clients get more leads and enquiries from their new websites through the work our new team members were doing on Google and social media campaigns .”
Full-service agency Born and raised in Middlesbrough , Brad is married to Kathy and has a son Mason , four , and daughter Mia , two . He feels the key to the expansion is offering a complete service , rather than clients having to pull together a patchwork of providers .
