A

familiar face within the construction industry has joined chartered accountants and business advisers
Waltons Clark Whitehill . Having been with Gus Robinson Developments for the past 39 years , latterly in the role of finance director , Jeanette Henderson has joined the Hartlepool Marina-based team .
After hearing about the finance manager position with Waltons , Jeanette decided to rethink her decision of early retirement .
“ After spending so long with my previous employer , it could have been daunting to join a new place of work , but it hasn ’ t been ,” said Jeanette .
“ I came here to be part of a team I already had a strong relationship with , a firm whose values reflect those which I have been accustomed to for almost 40 years .”
Jeanette has taken on a slightly different role with Waltons , managing the firm ’ s accounts and payroll in a part-time capacity with the support of the finance team .
She said : “ Being back on the tools has been brilliant . I ’ ve started with Waltons during a time of transformation and it ’ s very exciting to be part of it .
“ The whole team have been so welcoming and I ’ m excited as to what the future holds .
“ I hope to add value to the team through my past experience and also my understanding from a client ’ s perspective .” Jeanette has replaced Gillian Lyons , following her retirement after nine years with the firm .
Waltons ’ operations director Sharon Hutchinson said : “ I am thrilled Jeanette has agreed to join us .
“ She brings a wealth of experience to the table which is already proving very valuable . I am really looking forward to working with her and having her input at such a pivotal time for us .”
And managing director Paul Harrison added : “ Jeanette is a fantastic addition to our senior team .
“ Having worked with her in her former role , I know the energy and commitment she will bring to her new responsibilities , and we can already see the impact .”
Meanwhile , Waltons Clark Whitehill ’ s Paul Buckley has been promoted to associate with the firm , while Chris Hunter has been promoted to manager .
The promotions arrive on the back of the skills and experience both Paul and Chris have gained throughout their long service with Waltons , and their high standards and commitment to the firm and its clients .
Paul started with Waltons in December 2015 as a tax supervisor , and he quickly moved into the role of managing the newly created cloud accounting and tax team .

Chris , 38 , is from Hartlepool and joined the firm as an apprentice 20 years ago on a day-release basis , studying towards the Association of Accounting Technicians qualification .
