Mr. Cotter

There are many new faces at Traweek this year! Over the next few months, Teen Titans will get to
interview all of our new staff members. This issue’s interview is on MR. COTTER, Traweek’s new
Assistant Principal. Teen Titans staff member Ethan Phan had the chance to speak with him, make sure
to continue reading to get to know a little more about: Assistant Principal Cotter.

Teen Titans:
What was your dream job as a child?
Mr. Cotter:
I really wanted to become a professional baseball player.
Teen Titans:
How long have you been working in the educational field?
Mr. Cotter:
I have been working for 22 years. I really enjoy working in
education. My passion is to work with students, and to watch them
succeed and become successful. And then once you see them as an
adult, it is really rewarding when they come back and see you. It’s
pretty cool.
Teen Titans:
Did you ever think that you would become an
assistant principal at a middle school?
Mr. Cotter:
No, I thought I was going to be a teacher my whole life. Then, I realized being an assistant principal, you
can work with a lot of kids. Not necessarily the ones in your class. You can reach out and help more kids.
